Settings guide

Tune Previously to your taste.

Settings are personal — they live on your account, not on your device, so they follow you from screen to screen. And they save the moment you change them. There is no submit button, no "are you sure," no buried save flow. Flip a switch and it's done. Here's what every section does, so you can set it once and forget it.

Appearance — how the site looks

Notifications — what we tap you about

The master switch at the top is one tap for everything: off means silence, period. Below it, push notifications (on this device, the moment things happen) and email updates (recaps and reminders in your inbox) can be tuned separately. Then the per-topic list — each one independent, so you get exactly the pings you want and none of the ones you don't:

Quiet hours run 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM in your time. With them on, nothing sends overnight — alerts and emails simply wait for morning. Note that notification preferences are recorded on the device you're using, so set them where you'll actually read them.

Playback — how video and audio behave

Privacy — your data, your call

Plain and simple, as the page says. Save my watch & listen history is the big one: on, Previously remembers what you watched so it can pick up where you left off and recommend what's next. Off means nothing is remembered — the site simply doesn't keep the record. Clear history wipes what exists whenever you want a fresh start.

At the bottom sits the serious one: Delete my account. It's still being built — when it lands, deleting will remove your profile, history, and everything tied to it, with a 7-day grace period before it's final and can't be undone.

Account — the pointers

The last card doesn't duplicate anything; it points the way. Your profile, sign-in & security (email, passkeys), and connected services like Trakt and Spotify all live in your account — Settings just keeps the map. And when you're done, Sign out ends the session on this device.

Settings FAQ

Do my settings sync across devices?
Yes. Settings live on your account, not the device. Sign in anywhere and your theme, playback, and privacy choices come with you. The one exception: notification delivery preferences are recorded per device, since push notifications only make sense where you'll read them.
Can I turn off all notifications at once?
Yes — the master switch at the top of the Notifications section silences everything in one tap. You can also leave the master on and disable individual topics, so sports scores stop but episode alerts keep coming.
What are quiet hours, exactly?
11:00 PM to 7:00 AM in your timezone. With quiet hours on, Previously sends nothing overnight — no pushes, no emails. Everything waits for morning.
What does reduce motion actually change?
It pauses rotating artwork and automatic motion across the site. Pages still work exactly the same; they just stop animating on their own.
When should I use Data saver trailer quality?
When you're on mobile data and want trailers to stay light — smaller files, less data. On Wi-Fi, Auto or HD is the move.
How do I get the weekly recap email?
Turn on email updates and the weekly recap toggle in Notifications. One email a week, everything you missed: new episodes, releases, and scores from the things you follow.
If I turn off personalization, what changes?
Recommendations, Coming Soon tracking, and For You rails stop being shaped by your activity and fall back to generic picks. Your library, follows, and history still work normally.
