Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV returns the beloved RTS franchise to the war-torn planet of Kronus, set 200 years after the events of Dawn of War: Dark Crusade. Four playable factions fight for the planet at launch: the Space Marines (led by the Blood Ravens, with Captain Cyrus voiced by Steve Blum; the Dark Angels also appear as a playable sub-faction in the campaign), the Orks, the Necrons, and the Adeptus Mechanicus — the tech-priests making their playable debut in the franchise. Each faction gets its own dedicated story campaign with CGI intros and fully animated cutscenes, totaling more than 70 missions written by Black Library author John French, all playable solo or in co-op. The series' classic base-building and mass-battle roots return with an expanded Sync Kill system, alongside Skirmish versus AI, the returning Last Stand mode, 1v1/2v2/3v3 online multiplayer for up to six players, and an in-game content editor. Developed by KING Art Games of Bremen, Germany (Iron Harvest) and published by Deep Silver, this is the first Dawn of War not built by Relic Entertainment. Originally dated September 17, 2026, the launch was moved to December 3, 2026 — Commander Edition buyers get three-day early access from November 30. PC (Windows) via Steam is the only confirmed platform.
