I Call It Pretty Music But The Old People Call It The Blues (Live/1964 - Motor Town Revue, Vol. 2) Lyrics

The one and only Little Stevie Wonder

Yeah
I was sittin' in my classroom the other day
Playin' my harmonica in a mellow way
Some teachers seemed to have gathered around
Tryin' to figure out what I was puttin' down

I call it pretty music
But the old people call it the blues, yeah

Ain't that pretty now

They were lookin' at me sittin' there all alone
Mumblin' to each other in a real low tone
I couldn't figure out what they were sayin', no
They couldn't understand what I was playin'

Well, I call it pretty music
But the old people call it the blues, yeah, hey

Ain't that pretty now

Well, I call it pretty music
But the old people call it the blues, ooh yeah
I call it pretty music
But the old people call it the blues, yeah
