Polk Salad Annie (EPiC Version) Lyrics

We're gonna get dirty on here, ladies and gentlemen!

Got a little morphine on me
Give me a little hash hash, baby
Polk Salad Annie, where is your fanny at?
Dear Lord!

Some of y'all never been down south too much
I'ma tell you a little story so that you'll understand what I'm talking about
Down there we have a plant that grows out in the woods and the fields
And it looks something like a turnip green, everybody calls it polk salad
Let's polk salad! Polk!

Used to know a girl lived down there
And she'd go out in the evenings and
She'd march a little bit, and she'd

Anyway, uh, she'd go out and pick a mess of it
Don't make any sense does it? Pick a mess of what?
Carry it home and cook it for supper
'Cause that's about all they had to eat
But they did alright, mm

'Cause that's about all they had to eat
But they did alright
But they did alright

Down in Louisiana
Where the alligators grow so mean
Lived a girl that I swear to the world
Made the alligators look tame (ah)

Polk Salad Annie, eety got your granny, ooh
Everybody said it was a shame, y'all
'Cause her mama was a-workin' on the chain gang

A mean, vicious, straight razor-totin' woman
Lord, have mercy

Every day before suppertime
She'd go down by the truck patch
And pick her a mess of polk salad
And carry it home in a tote sack

Polk Salad Annie, eety got your granny
Everybody said it was a shame
'Cause her mama was a-workin' on the chain gang (ooh)

Yeah, sock a little polk salad
No one need to be a mess
Sock a little polk salad

Alright, you're right
There you go
Sock a little polk salad
No one need to be a mess
Sock a little
No one need to be a mess
Sock a little
