Don Henley: "Good Evening, Ladies and Gentlemen" (Live at the Forum, Inglewood, CA, 2018) Lyrics

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen
Boys and girls
And welcome to the fabulous Forum
We did our first gig here 43 years ago
Obviously, this is not the same band that it was then
Been through some changes
And while we have lost a father and a brother and a leader, we have gained a son
Deacon Frey, ladies and gentlemen

Deacon is up here to help us carry on his father's legacy
'Cause it's about the songs now
It's about the songs and what they mean to you in your life
So we're gonna play about two and a half hours worth of those songs for you
And also, up here to help us do that
One of America's most beloved singer-songwritters and a hell of a guitarist
Mr. Vince Gill

Vince is gonna sing one for you right now
One, two, three, come on
