On This Side Of The Moon Lyrics

Some folks look through telescopes
And dream of flying high above the stars
They say it won't be long
'Til we can all hop on a ship to Mars

Well, I'm just a simple man
There's a lot that I don't know
But as long as you're here with me
I'd just as soon stay home

On this side of the moon
Things are going my way
Your love keeps shining through
Even when it rains
There's nowhere else I'd rather be
I'm happy standing in these shoes
With you here in my life
The world is looking bright
On this side of the moon

Sometimes on a clear night
We'd pull up a chair out in the yard
And I'm always amazed
That the good lord can make so many stars
But I know I'd feel out of place
Roaming through the Milky Way
All due respect to astronauts
I'd think I'd rather stay

On this side of the moon
Things are going my way
Your love keeps shining through
Even when it rains
There's nowhere else I'd rather be
I'm happy standing in these shoes
With you here in my life
The world keeps looking bright
On this side of the moon

With you here in my life
The world keeps looking bright
On this side of the moon
