Streamer · Event Founder
French streaming's founding father — creator of the ZEvent, the largest charity marathon in livestreaming history.
About ZeratoR
Adrien "ZeratoR" Nougaret is French streaming's founding father — and the architect of the largest charity machine livestreaming has ever produced. The Montpellier creator founded the ZEvent in 2016 with Alexandre "Dach" Dachary, and over the next decade turned it into a national institution: the final edition, staged September 3–6, 2026, raised a world-record €32,891,874 in a single weekend, pushing the event's all-time total past €89.5 million for charity. No one on Twitch has ever raised more. Before the millions, though, there was a kid from Montpellier with a TrackMania obsession and a talent for turning games into gatherings.
ZeratoR's roots run through the games that built French esports. A TrackMania devotee from the scene's early days, he became known as much as an organizer as a player — the mind behind the TrackMania Cup and a string of large-scale productions that treated streaming like show business before the industry caught up. That instinct — the creator as showrunner — is the through-line of his entire career: the wit, the beloved-curmedgeon persona, and an ambition for live events that no one else in French streaming could match.
The ZEvent: a decade of giving
The ZEvent began in 2016 as "Project Avengers," a modest idea: gather French streamers for a weekend marathon and point the audience's generosity at a cause. It worked immediately, and then it kept working, bigger every year. The format — dozens of creators broadcasting from a central venue in Montpellier plus hundreds more remotely, with donation milestones tied to challenges, skits, and stunts — became the telethon of the internet age. The beneficiaries rotated with the years: Save the Children, the French Red Cross, Médecins Sans Frontières, the Pasteur Institute, Amnesty International, Action Against Hunger, environmental groups, anti-poverty associations, and in 2025, eight organizations supporting patients and caregivers.
The records fell like dominoes. The event broke Twitch's charity-stream world record repeatedly — €3.5 million in 2019 (saluted by President Emmanuel Macron), €10 million in 2021, €16.6 million in 2025, which dethroned MrBeast's $12 million Team Water record. Each edition felt like the ceiling; each year the ceiling moved. By the time the tenth edition was announced as the last, the ZEvent had become something closer to a French cultural institution than a stream — covered by national media, blessed by presidents, and appointment viewing for millions.
The final edition
ZEvent 2026 was staged as a farewell from the start — "C'est la fin du ZEVENT," the organizers said, and meant it. The weekend opened Thursday, September 3 with a full concert at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier — GIMS, Gazo, Bigflo & Oli — before the marathon proper ran Friday evening through Sunday night. More than 70 streamers gathered in person, with hundreds more joining remotely, and the audience responded like it was a national holiday: 1,305,662 concurrent viewers at peak, 26.18 million hours watched, both among the largest charity-stream audiences ever measured.
When the total was confirmed in the early hours of September 7 — €32,891,874, more than double the previous record — it set a mark that may stand for a very long time: the largest sum ever raised by a charity livestream marathon, full stop. The money went to 22 associations. The most-watched streamer of the weekend was Théo "mastu" Becker at nearly 477,000 peak viewers, with ZeratoR himself second at 370,000 — the founder still drawing one of the biggest audiences in French streaming, a decade into the project.
The pioneer's shadow
Long before the ZEvent made him a national figure, ZeratoR was the constant of French Twitch — a streamer whose longevity across platform eras is itself the marvel. He survived and thrived through every phase of the medium, from the early days to the agency era, mentoring and inspiring the generation that followed: the Squeezies and Rebeudeters who now carry French streaming forward all came up in a scene ZeratoR helped build. His shadow covers French Twitch the way a founding father's should — not as a relic, but as the standard.
The persona is part of it: the wit, the grumbling, the beloved-curmedgeon act that French audiences adopted as their own. France's favorite streamer has always been, on paper, its grumpiest — and the affection is real precisely because the generosity underneath it is real. Nobody raises €90 million by accident. The ZEvent worked because its founder understood something simple: give an audience a reason to be generous, make the giving fun, and get out of the way.
What comes next
The organizers have been clear that the ZEvent name is retired — but equally clear that the community it built is not going anywhere, hinting at future charity projects under new banners. Whatever replaces it starts with the largest proven fundraising audience in livestreaming history. As for ZeratoR himself: the streams continue, the events continue, and the pioneer's curiosity — new games, new formats, new ways to gather people — shows no sign of fading.
The measure of Adrien Nougaret was never the games. It was never the TrackMania records or the event productions or even the decade of dominance atop French streaming. It is the number: more than €89.5 million raised, thousands of lives touched, a blueprint for charity streaming that the entire world now copies. The founding father's greatest achievement isn't the content. It's the good.
